This manor outbuilding, tucked away in the beauty and restful calm of the countryside with access to 2 ha of private grounds can accommodate up to 9 people in its 4 bedrooms, its 3 bathrooms and its warm living area. An open fire will warm your evenings, while its beautiful furniture and well-kept decor will add to the enjoyment of your stay. As a family or with friends, the internal architecture and the various outdoor areas enable you to retain your privacy and enjoy the peaceful quiet of the surroundings, or if you so wish, get together for some wonderful times of friendship. The house has the charm of an old dwelling and the comfort of a modern one. Books, videos and DVDs are available, and there are also bikes to use, a swimming pool and a private tennis court. If you want to, you can also take tennis lessons (professional available on request) or book a candlelight dinner served in one of the private parts of the château. Close by are Périgords major sites, chateaus, caves, the beautiful town of Périgueux with its historic centre, its shopping streets and its lively little squares (numerous concerts in summer), and its international mime festival. There is a beautiful golf course 18 km away. You can also try canoeing or go swimming in Arcachon. Non smoking

The Town of PERIGUEUX: Walk around Périgueux with its medieval parving stones, its centuries-old walls, its finely-wrought staircases,and savour the Past.From the prehistoric tools in the museum to the spendid round gallo-roman tower , the church of St Etienne la Cité and the cathedral and its byzantine cupolas, two thousand years of history and more laid out at your feet. Walk along the narrow Renaissance streets, stop at a market stall.We like to llive well..witness: our foie gras and our truffles , our meat conserves and our wines! Annual highspots include Mimos the international mime festival ( end of july, beginning of august) , The New Orleans Music festival (around 14 of august), Sinfonia, a great classical music concerts festival ,( end of august and september) Brantôme, the Venice of Périgord. The bells of France oldest campanile ring out as visitors take romantic strolls along the river or walk in the peaceful monk's garden. Its a fantastic place to have a wonderful meal near the banks of the river. le Château de Puyguilhem, a secret castle set in a wonderful landscape, We call it : "The chateau of the Sleeping Beauty" Le château d'Hautefort called " the Versailles Of Périgord: On wednesdays nights in summer, the chateau'courtyard is the starting point of tours by actors in period dress who extravagantly describe the destiny of Marquis Jacques François de Hautefort and his sister the beautiful Aurore surrounded by picturesque figures. This magnificent places is also the ideal setting for enjoying classical music concerts under the summer sun. And last but not least ,walking around Château le But, and take the time to see the dark oaks wrapped in morning mist or the sun slanting off chestnuts, or the deers drinking in the little lake just under the castle and climb the hill to have beautiful view of the valley . Here the nature is magnificent and you must take your time!
